Books of November

Hello! This is my first blog post. So firstly, welcome, and secondly, this blog will be all about books (which I love dearly), travel (which I do when I can) and food (who doesn't love food?). I hope you will enjoy reading my reviews and stories.

So Books of is when I'll recommend my favourite books of November, the first is:

I'll shorten the title to ASCNB! This is a true story, the author wrote it about his life story. So basically, ASCNB is about a man who is on the verge of homelessness, he's suffering with drug abuse and life isn't that cheerful for him. He's a busker in Covent Garden and one day he finds a cat on the street, Bob. Eventually, Bob moves in with James (the man) and they go busking with Bob sat on James' shoulder. It attracts many people and the book is about the ups and downs of their daily lives, suffering with drug abuse and the daily life of London. It's a really heart-warming book and as a cat lover I just loved it! Also, the film has recently been realised in cinemas and it is really great!

I can't put into words how much I adore Enid Blyton's books, and the Adventure series is one of my absolute favourites! The River of Adventure is the 7th in the series, so I strongly recommend reading from the beginning, starting with the Island of Adventure. The whole series is gripping and just a really nice read, so I highly recommend getting your nose into these!

Finally,

To Kill A Mockingbird is one of my favourite books of all-time. It's just amazing. Many people think it's not much, yet I think it is often overlooked as just another boring novel. It's not for me! I can relate to the character Scout so easily because when I was her age I wore dungarees all the time and I preferred playing active games in the garden in mud rather than staying inside painting my nails or something. I just love the plot as well and how racism is put across, which I think also is a great moral message for today's society as well.

That's my favourite November reads! I hope you enjoyed reading about what I've read lately and please let me know if you have any book recommendations in the comments!
